Amazon adverts banned for ‘misleading’ customers over savings: BBC News reports that four Amazon adverts for electronic devices have been banned for “misleading” customers over potential savings. The adverts, all from July 2017, highlighted savings of up £300 compared with recommended retail prices (RRPs). 3 ways President Trump could actually hurt Amazon (and Jeff Bezos): Aric Jenkins at Fortune reports that President Trump this week continued his barrage against Amazon, saying the $700 billion company takes advantage of American taxpayers and the United States Postal Service, and harms main street retailers. “I am right about Amazon costing the United States Post Office massive amounts of money for being their Delivery Boy,” Trump tweeted. Amazon may offer to buy India’s Flipkart: Reuters via CNBC reports that Amazon may make a rival offer to buy Indian ecommerce firm Flipkart, which is in tie-up talks with Walmart, local media reported, as the two US retail giants jostle for dominance in India’s booming online industry. Amazon held early exploratory talks to buy control of Indian rival Flipkart but a deal with Walmart is more likely, daily newspaper Mint said on Wednesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Amazon’s in-home delivery service now supports eight smart locks: Jacob Kastrenakes at The Verge reports that Amazon Key, the delivery service that uses a smart lock to allow dropoffs inside your front door, is expanding to work with five additional smart locks today. The service is growing from three supported models to eight in total, all from Kwikset and Yale. Kwikset is adding three new models today, and Yale is adding two. Continue reading…

Amazon announce changes to seller feedback policy: FeedbackExpress reports that Amazon Amazon have announced changes to their seller feedback policy. Starting 17 May 2018, seller feedback will only be eligible for removal 90 days after it has been left (previously this was set as 365 days). There have been no changes to the grounds for removal.
