As per the norm at this time of the year, Amazon has released it’s selling guidelines for toys and games which will apply from 17 November – first week of January. The restrictions are put in place to help maintain buyer confidence and prevent novice sellers from joining the toys and games market in this busiest of quarters.
So without further ado, here are Amazon’s Toys and Games guidelines for Christmas 2015.
- You must have processed and shipped at least 25 orders from the 1st of September through 31st October 2015. The orders do not need to be specific to the Toys store.
- Your pre-fulfilment cancel rate must be no greater than 1.75% from the 1st October through 31st October 2015.
- Your late shipment rate must be no greater than 4% from the 1st October through 31st October 2015.
- Your order defect rate must be no greater than 1% short term as of the 1st November 2015.

FBA sellers avoid restrictions
If you’re a Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) sell, then you won’t be subject to the above restrictions. This could be useful for new sellers who can’t qualify for under the set restriction. There are other benefits of using FBA including attracting Amazon Prime customers who’ll be attracted to your good due to free shipping and improving your chances of winning the elusive Amazon Buy Box.
