Here’s a beginner’s guide to outsourcing and automation in five simple steps.
1. Always Think in Terms Of Time!
When it comes to automation and outsourcing, time is what you are trying to save. The more you can get done in the same amount of time allows you to get more work done.
2. Spilt Your Business up Into Stages
Online arbitrage, private label or any other Amazon business are business models that can be easily split into stages. For example:
- Stage 1 – Sourcing
- Stage 2 – Reviewing
- Stage 3 – Purchasing
- Stage 4 – Amazon Seller Central
This really allows you to focus in on what the different components are to a business.
3. Split the Stages into Tasks
Now you have each stage decided, you can list all the different individual tasks under each stage. This will allow you to see all the different tasks that make up your business. Clarity is power and the organisation you need to make a start at outsourcing.
4. Assign Times & Cost to Each Task
Note down the time it takes you for each task as you go through your operations. Also note down the cost it would be to your business. This gives you a clear idea where you are spending all your time but also what the cost would be if you were to recruit a virtual assistant or employee.
5. Start Outsourcing the Most Time Consuming & Cost-Effective Tasks
Depending on your revenue and your profits in your business, start to recruit and outsource where it makes sense for you in your business.
