Morrisons signs deal to sell food to Amazon customers: BBC News reports that Morrisons will supply groceries to Amazon customers in the UK. The supermarket said it will supply products for the Amazon Prime Now and Amazon Pantry services. Amazon Pantry was launched in the UK last year, escalating competition with the big four supermarkets, but did not offer fresh food. Under the new deal, Morrisons will supply fresh, frozen and non-perishable goods to Amazon customers. The expanded Amazon service will be available later this year. eBay invites sellers to join affiliate program: Ina Steiner at eCommerceBytes reports that if you’re a seller who blogs or uses social media to promote your products, eBay wants you to consider joining its affiliate program and earning commission. In a recent video on the eBay Partner Network blog, John Toskey, Director of Global eBay Partner Network, talks about the program and explains why sellers might wish to link not only to their own items, but to other sellers’ listings as well.

Amazon Logistics now deliver up to 80% of Amazon UK sales: Chris Dawson at Tamebay reports that Amazon Logistics now deliver a massive 80% of all Amazon and FBA sales. Royal Mail’s share of sellers Amazon FBA orders is down to just 15% and it’s highly probably that Amazon simply use Royal Mail for the awkward outlying areas of the UK. Incidentally they are the areas that will cost Royal Mail the most to delivery to so that 15% isn’t doing them any favours. Continue reading…

Amazon considers introducing a restaurant delivery service in the UK: India Ashok at International Business Times reports that according to a Reuters report, Amazon has conducted an analysis of food delivery service providers in the UK by sending out surveys to its customers. In the survey, customers were asked about how often they order for food to be delivered and the general cost of both the food orders and delivery. Amazon also asked its customers what food delivery service providers they generally ordered from.
